One of the
main reasons we liked this home was that we fell
in love with the lot it was on It's situated on
8/10 acre, and includes a natural pond. It
also includes a large raised garden in back.
A
picture of our "front side" yard.
Here there are shade and fruit trees, places to
sit, raspberry bushes and flower gardens.

A
view of part of our back yard, with Cathy and
Bailey still playing. By late fall when this
picture was taken, our pond (in the background)
had obtained a bright green coating. For
2003 we retained a pond service to help with this
condition and keep the pond in better shape.
Here's
a more recent picture of the pond, showing the
fountain we added in April 2003. In
the background is the back of our house, and also Bailey.
The waterfowl don't seem to mind the fountain at
all.
Another
lovely view of the pond.
Yet
another view (can you tell we enjoy the pond?)
Geese, ducks, and other critters have been
frequent visitors. We've had baby geese and
their parents come and go. All the wildlife
has been fun and fascinating to watch.
A
view of the pond from our freshly tilled garden.
In 2004 we changed the nozzle on the fountain so
it looks a little fuller now.
One
more view of the pond, with the fountain and part
of our back yard.
Here's
a picture from fall 2002. As was said above,
the pond had "greened over" with
duckweed. Ducks kept residence until it iced
over for the winter, though. You can see
them to the left if you click the photo
