You are now walking around
the yard
.
Here is a view of the
front yard from the front steps. The bush
with the orange flowers always attracted lots of
attention, and we had several people stop and ask
us what it was. Alas-- we didn't know, as it
came with the house.
Here
is a view of the back of the house. The deck
was pretty small, but it worked, and provided
access to the back yard. In the foreground
is our strawberry bed and garden, with a candid by
Bailey.
Our
garden and back yard, with Cathy doing some work.
We had a lot of fun with this garden.
Unfortunately, the strawberry bed was just getting
going nicely when we moved. We always had a
large crop of tomatoes, which Sampson
loved to help himself to...
Our
side yard was where most of the yard's space was.
There were a couple of nice trees like this one.
Had we not moved, we were planning an addition,
and were making special precautions to build
around and save this tree.
Another
view of the side yard, with a young Bailey.
Here's
a picture from the corner of our lot. We
always spent a lot of time making sure this flower
bed looked great, as it was so visible. The
wishing well was also a nice touch from the
previous owners, although we did some major
repairs on it in 2001. This picture is
almost identical to one that went in the real
estate listing.
